Ambre Vanille Exfoliating Body Wash

Spectacularly fails at being either an exfoliator or body wash in equal measure. Can’t do either properly, let alone both together.

Thick oily paste of a product that does not foam at all..! Literally nothing. It’s impossible to know how well it’s cleansing me as a result as it just disappears into the water as you smooth it on. This also means you’re compelled to use many times the amount of a normal body wash so it will actually cover your entire body, and at this price it’s scary. Can’t even feel it on your skin with the warm water as a result of its texture. It doesn’t even louche and go milky.

Concentration of the exfoliating particles is so low, it’s useless. They’re quite large and rough cut so feels both scratchy and inefficient at the same time. Which is an incredible achievement.

Smells gorgeous as you would expect but once washed off and getting dressed, the smell disappears from the skin. This is only upsetting as I was a regular user of the original body wash which had such a strong smell on the skin for ages afterwards. Truly like a perfume. Made the whole shower room smell for ages. And it was so concentrated as a cleanser, you literally only needed a small squeeze for it to wash your whole body with an incredibly thick luxurious creamy lather. Almost unheard of nowadays. And it actually is now.

And don’t get me started on how hard it is to rinse the exfoliating particles out of the shower. The oily consistency of the product without surfactant…

Feels smooth and hydrating on the skin although it’s an exfoliating product. Leaves my skin supple and soft. Smells luxurious and almost edible 😃 LOVE IT!!
