Makeup Artist Hacks: Mixing Makeup

One of the biggest tips you hear from makeup artists is to use your makeup products in more than one way. Use your blush as an eyeshadow, an eyeliner as a lip liner, a highlighter as an eyeshadow topper—the options are endless. Today we’re sharing one of Laura’s favourite ways to mix makeup using our RoseGlow liquid highlighter, your favourite foundation, and liquid blush.

How to Mix Foundation & Liquid Highlighter

If you want to look like you’re lit from within, you need more than just a luminescent foundation. While most people feel comfortable applying their foundation, setting with translucent powder, then topping with a highlighter, we have a different approach in mind.

Step one

Using either a makeup palette or the back of your hand, apply a dab of liquid highlighter and liquid foundation.

Step two

Mix together with a foundation brush and apply as usual. You’re left with a flawless finish that’s both radiant and glow-y.

How to Use Liquid Blush with Highlighter

A lot of people aren’t sure how to apply liquid blush—but we have a fool-proof way to enhance pigment and glow.

Step one

Mix your liquid highlighter with your liquid blush with a brush.

Step two

Apply as normal to the cheeks and fall in love with the results. Pro tip: the same method can be applied to your bronzer.
