    New Secret Camouflage vs Old Version

    First of all, I want to say how much I love Laura Mercier products . I am a loyal customer who only uses LM products since the 90s. I am in my 40s and have Melasma and have been dedicated to LM products because of their amazing depth and coverage. I am so sad to see the change to the new secret camouflage design. I am dependent on using a larger amount of product to cover my melasma . This company was created and stood on the basis of helping women with skin issues . This new formula is not the same and is so small. I was willing to accept the change and buy more cases to do whatever I needed to for coverage but this is disappointing to many customers and not just myself. I use LM foundation as well … blush and highlighters and eyeshadows. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this is a plea to bring back the old formula and product . For women who have no other product to use to cover embarrassing melasma or rosacea . Whoever made these changes clearly doesn’t have skin issue that create insecurities. This review may not make a difference but I’m hoping the many requests/ reviews together maybe encourage thought into what LM stands for regarding their original plight for women with skin issues. Begging to please bring back the old version of secret camouflage. Thank you .

    Strange Redesign

    Waited literally years for this to come back and was disappointed to find that a classic was ruined. I didn't actually mind the (much) smaller size, but the introduction of a third shade is mystifying. I used SC-3 for nearly 20 years, primarily the larger lighter color. In this iteration, the color I used most is a teeny little strip. I have small hands and even I can't get one finger on that easily.

    Why would you suddenly make the larger color not only not the main size, but a teeny strip?

    I would be fine with the smaller size if I could choose which one is in the larger pan. Since I can't, this product is now useless which is a real shame because I've not been able to find a replacement. Now I suppose I'll have to try to find something else in earnest.

    PLEASE I BEG OF YOU JUST GIVE US THE OLD FORMULATION!

    This is a FAIL!

    I’m tired of these brands/companies who don’t take the time to really listen to their audience, which is the customer! The old version was obviously a loved item. When you have loyal customers who mention they’ve been using a product for years speaks volumes! To take that away tells me that the brand/company is really not here for the customer. It’s not just the small size of the new version, but the shades are completely off and creates a “muddy” look. There is no longevity and certainly is not pigmented. Each and every claim of this new version is a confirmed contradiction in comparison to the old one. I purchased the new one with my own money over 2 months ago and it’s still sitting in my makeup bag….unused. What a shame LM. You could have at least make the old version an option to the loyal customers out there. The new version is a COMPLETE failure.

    Sometimes change isn’t for the better

    I’ve used Secret Camouflage SC-02 for a many years (10 + yrs?). I just ordered a new one and you reduced the size from 5.92 g to 3.2 g — about half the amount and then added shades I don’t need. Used to be a two shade and now three shades in the case and such small amounts; this won’t last long as I only use the two and of course the one I use the most is just a slim amount offered in the case now. And of course, increased the price. I will have to find an alternative - love this product, but don’t like this change.

    We did want to share some insight about the three-shade system - it's designed to give you complete customization for perfect color matching. Starting with the neutral shade as your base, you can then add just a tiny amount of the warm or cool shade to adjust the tone to match your skin perfectly. Because this new formula is so highly pigmented and creamy, you'll find that a very small amount goes much further than the previous version, so while the pan is smaller, the coverage and longevity are actually enhanced.

    Great perfector

    I love this concealer set. It’s much better than the original. I had a little difficulty finding if I was a number three or number two, but the company was gracious and let me exchange. I would highly recommend this product for all ages. It conceals red and yet is not cakey. I even use it under my eyes and I am 71 years old.

    A lovely cream concealer for mature skin.
